Kidney Cancer

The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs in the human body, which are mainly used to filter the blood to remove impurities, excess minerals and salts, and extra water. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is abbreviated as kidney cancer, which is a malignant tumor originating from the kidney tubular epithelium, accounting for 80%-90% of kidney malignant tumors. Diagnosis of Kidney Cancer

The following diagnostic methods are for kidney cancer:

• Imaging diagnosis. There are many imaging diagnostic methods for kidney cancer, including chest X-ray, ultrasound, abdominal CT, MRI, PET-CT, radionuclide bone imaging, kidney dynamic imaging, etc.
• Laboratory examination. The purpose is to understand the general condition of the patient and whether it is suitable for the corresponding treatment measures, mainly including urine routine, blood routine, red blood cell sedimentation rate, blood sugar, blood calcium, kidney function, liver function, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase and other items. If necessary, the coagulation function test, urine cytology test and nuclide nephrogram test should also be performed.
• Kidney tumor needle biopsy. Imaging examination can be used to diagnose most kidney cancer clinically, but difficult diseases need to be identified by biopsy, which can provide histopathological evidence for kidney tumors that cannot be diagnosed by imaging.
