Brucellosis, also known as Cretan fever or Malta fever, is a zoonotic systemic infectious disease caused by Brucella. Its clinical features include long-term fever, hyperhidrosis, arthralgia, and hepatosplenomegaly. After humans are infected with Brucella, the bacteria produce bacteremia and toxemia in the human body, involving various organs, chronic phase and more invasion of the spine and large joints.
