Bladder Cancer

Bladder CancerBladder cancer refers to a malignant tumor occurring on the bladder mucosa. It is the most common malignant tumor in the urinary system and one of the ten most common tumors in the body. In the West, its incidence is second only to prostate cancer, ranking second. Bladder cancer can occur at any age, even in children. Its incidence increases with age, and the incidence of bladder cancer in men is 3 to 4 times that of women. Most bladder cancers can be diagnosed early and are highly curable. However, even early bladder cancer can recur after successful treatment, so people with bladder cancer usually need follow-up tests several years after treatment.

Diagnosis of Bladder Cancer

The following tests can be used to diagnose bladder cancer:

  • Cystoscopy. To perform a cystoscopy, a thin and narrow tube (cystoscope) is inserted into the urethra to see the inside of the urethra and bladder to check for signs of bladder disease. Cystoscopy is a key procedure for the diagnosis of bladder cancer.
  • Biopsy. During the cystoscopy, cell samples (biopsy) are collected for testing. This procedure is called transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) sometimes, and it can also be used to treat bladder cancer.
  • Urine test. Urine cytology is used to examine cancer cells, including routine urine test, urine exfoliated cell test, nuclear matrix protein 22 (NMP22) and bladder tumor antigen (BTA) test, etc. Among them, the routine urine test can detect hematuria under the microscope early. The urine exfoliated cell test can sometimes detect tumor cells. NMP22 and BTA, as urinary bladder tumor indicators, have a certain auxiliary role in the diagnosis of early bladder cancer.
  • Imaging diagnosis. Including the ultrasound test, the X-ray test, CT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests, etc., they allow the structure of the urinary tract to be examined.

Advantages of Our Products

Creative Biogene's bladder cancer diagnostic products are mainly for the urine test, mainly rapid test kits. They can rapidly detect bladder tumor antigen (BTA) in the urine. When combined with cystoscopy, the overall NPV is as high as 99%, making it one of the most effective methods for diagnosing bladder cancer. The advantages of our products include:

  • The procedure is as simple as adding urine to the test device.
  • It can detect the recurrence of early bladder cancer that may be missed by cytology.
  • The detection results are accurate, sensitive and specific.

Creative Biogene focuses on the field of diagnostic reagents for bladder cancer. We are committed to providing the best products to accelerate the realization of customers' research goals. You can choose us with confidence.
