Graves Disease

Graves DiseaseGraves disease, also known as toxic diffuse goiter, is an autoimmune disease. The clinical manifestations are not limited to the thyroid, but a multi-system syndrome, including hypermetabolic syndrome, diffuse goiter, ocular signs, skin lesions, and thyroid acropathy. The manifestations other than thyroid are infiltrating endocrine exophthalmos, which can exist alone without the hypermetabolic disease. The causes of Graves disease mainly include genetic factors, mental trauma and immune system abnormalities. Thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor antibody (TRAb), which is associated with Graves disease, acts like a pituitary regulator. This means that TRAb exceeds the normal regulation of the thyroid gland and leads to excessive production of thyroid hormones, which can cause Graves disease. The disease is more common in women and people under 40.

Diagnosis of Graves Disease

Diagnostic methods of Graves disease are as follows:

  • Blood test. Determine the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroid hormone. People with Graves disease usually have lower than normal TSH levels and higher thyroid hormone levels.
  • Antibody detection. Detect the level of antibodies that are known to cause Graves disease. This test can be used to distinguish Graves' disease from hyperthyroidism.
  • Uptake of radioactive iodine. First, give the patient a small amount of radioactive iodine, and then determine the rate at which the thyroid absorbs. The amount of radioactive iodine absorbed by the thyroid can help determine whether Graves disease or another condition is the cause of hyperthyroidism.
  • Imaging diagnosis. Including ultrasound, CT and MRI. These are of great significance to the auxiliary diagnosis of Graves' disease.

Advantages of Our Products

Creative Biogene's related products are mainly test kits used to detect TRAb in human serum, and they are an important basis for the diagnosis of Graves' disease. Based on the biotin-labeled TSH and TRAb competitive ELISA, our product adds a biotin-streptavidin-peroxidase reaction mechanism, which makes the detection more accurate, sensitive and specific, and can be used in conjunction with the automated detection system.

Creative Bioarray has a professional team of experts who developed quality Graves disease diagnostic products. Our products are competitive in the market due to their reasonable price and high quality, which can help you solve the diagnosis problem quickly. We look forward to working with you for your cooperation.
