ZBTB7A, also known as LRF (for leukemia/lymphoma-related factors), is a transcription factor containing poxvirus zinc finger (POZ) domain that affects cell differentiation. BTB domains include 7A, ZBTB7, TIP21, FBI1, FBI-1. The POZ-domain transcription factor contains a POZ or BTB-type protein-protein interaction domain at the n-terminus and a kruppel-type zinc finger at the c-terminus. LRF can induce differentiation of preadipocytes in mice and humans, and may promote adipogenesis by affecting the transition from cell proliferation to terminal differentiation.
