TGF beta-induced nuclear protein 1 (TINP1) is widely expressed in a variety of cell lines. TINP1 overexpression significantly promotes tumor cell proliferation, which may be related to the down-regulation of p53 expression. In addition, TINP1 promotes some cell lines to enter the S phase of the cell cycle. TINP1 promotes cell proliferation and significantly reduces the expression of p53 and p21.
