TCL1A enhances cell proliferation, stabilizes mitochondrial membrane potential, and promotes cell survival. TCL1A immunoassay is an independent marker of poor outcome that can be used for routine management of DLCL patients. In chronic lymphocytic leukemia, the expression of TCL1A is associated with shorter treatment time, and in the mantle cell lymphoma series, it is associated with shorter lymphoma-specific survival.
