An enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) used to detect and semi-quantitate single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) in IgG antibodies and human serum. Anti-ssDNA antibodies have been found in both rheumatic and non-rheumatic diseases. However, they occur most frequently in patients with SLE and scleroderma.
