Rapid Chlamydia test

Urogenital Chlamydia trachomatis infection is asymptomatic and can affect male or female subjects who unknowingly transmits this bacterium to his sexual partner. It particularly affects young men and women of reproductive age, thus constituting a real public health problem worldwide. WHO estimates that nearly one million new cases occur each day. In addition, this infection can induce sevral complications (prostatitis and epididymitis in men, salpingitis and infertility in women, conjunctivitis of the newborn). During a persistent infection the bacterial load may be low, which complicates the biological diagnosis. In some cases, cell culture can give negative result. The use of Rapid Chlamydia test is a relevent solution for easy and rapid identification of Chlamydia antigens.
