Enzyme immunoassay qualitatively and quantitatively determine IgG antibodies against protease 3 (PR3) in human serum. The anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA), originally identified by immunofluorescence assay (IFA), targets the cytoplasmic components of neutrophil granulocytes and monocytes. They have been shown to be useful serological markers for many systemic, autoimmune-mediated vasculitis.
