PIK3CA Mutation Analysis Kit is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based detection method that uses allele-specific primers to identify the presence of PIK3CA somatic mutations. The test procedure consists of three simple steps:
1. Isolate DNA from tumor biopsy, paraffin-embedded sections or fresh frozen tumors
2. Use allele-specific primers to amplify the PIK3CA gene region
3. Use a real-time PCR machine to detect the amplified products.
