B7-H2, also known as CD275, B7RP-1 or ICOSL, is a co-stimulatory molecule of the B7 superfamily (PMID: 11023515). It is expressed on lymphoid cells such as B cells, monocytes/macrophages and dendritic cells and is also induced on nonlymphoid tissue cells, such as endothelial cells, epithelial cells and muscle cells (PMID: 16499572). B7-H2 binds to ICOS which is expressed on activated T cells and resting memory T cells (PMID: 10617205). The interaction of ICOS/B7-H2 plays an important role in the T cell costimulation pathway.
