MAGED4 is a member of the MAGE (melanoma-associated antigen) superfamily identified by the gene expression sequence analysis (SAGE) technology. Three isoforms are produced through alternative splicing during gene transcription. The antibody detects a band of 90-100 kDa against the human MAGED4 protein of 1-350 aa, which is larger than the calculated molecular weight.
