MAGED1 polyclonal antibody

This gene is a member of the melanoma antigen gene (MAGE) family. Most genes in this family encode tumor-specific antigens, which are not expressed in normal adult tissues, except for the testis. Although the protein encoded by this gene has strong homology with members of the Master family, it is expressed in almost all normal adult tissues. This gene has been confirmed to be involved in the programmed cell death pathway mediated by p75 neurotrophin receptor. Three transcriptional variants of the gene encoding two different subtypes have been discovered.
