Influenza A/B test is a real-time quantitative RT-PCR detection method for qualitative detection and identification of viral nucleic acids extracted from nasal and nasopharyngeal swab specimens. Real-time influenza testing has shown that it can detect HIN1, H3N2 and H7N9 subtypes, but cannot distinguish this subtype from influenza A.
