Application: | SELP, also named as P-selectin, GMP-140 or CD62P, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates the interaction of activated endothelial cells or platelets with leukocytes. It is an adhesion molecule involved in the pathogenesis of inflammation, thrombosis, and oncogenesis. P-selectin is stored in the alpha-granules of platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells. Upon cell activation by agonists, P-selectin is transported rapidly to the cell surface. Soluble P-selectin is produced by platelets and endothelial cells and circulates in normal plasma. |
This test kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The S100A8/S100A9 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous S100A8/S100A9. The assay recognizes human S100A8/S100A9. An antibody specific for S100A8/S100A9 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The S100A8/S100A9 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for human S100A8/S100A9 is added to detect the captured human S100A8/S100A9 protein. For signal development, Streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm .
