Application: | Mammaglobin A, also known as SCGB2A2, is a member of the secretoglobin superfamily. Mammaglobin A is expressed in normal mammary gland epithelium and is over-expressed in primary and metastatic human breast cancers, making it a specific molecular marker and a potential therapeutic target for breast cancer. Secreted Mammaglobin protein has been detected in the sera of some breast cancer patients and not in sera of patients with other tumor types, indicating Mammaglobin as a serum marker for breast cancer |
This test kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The MMP-13 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous MMP-13. The assay recognizes human MMP-13. An antibody specific for MMP-13 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The MMP-13 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for MMP-13 is added to detect the captured MMP-13 protein. For signal development, Streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.
