Application: | CCL20, also known as MIP-3 alpha, is a chemokine expressed mainly in the lymphatic tissue, lung and liver produced by cells related with inflammation and autoimmune response such as endothelial cells, neutrophils, natural killer (NK), Th17 cells and B cells among others. CCL20 contributes to inflammatory cell recruitment. CCL20 selectively signals through its receptor CCR6. The ligand-receptor pair CCL20/CCR6 is responsible for the chemoattraction of immature dendritic cells, effector/memory T cells and B cells, and also serves a role in the skin and mucosal surfaces under homeostatic and inflammatory conditions, as well as in pathological processes, such as those associated with cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. |
This test kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The CCL27 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous CCL27. The assay recognizes human CCL27. An antibody specific for CCL27 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The CCL27 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for human CCL27 is added to detect the captured human CCL27 protein. For signal development, Streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.
