Application: | CCL17, also named as TARC, is a member of the CC chemokine family, and is highly expressed by thymus and other cells, including keratinocytes, endothelial cells, dendritic cells, bronchial epithelial cells and fibroblasts. CCL17 plays important roles in T cell development in thymus as well as in trafficking and activation of mature T cells. CCL17 induced chemotaxis and Ca2+ influx in the cells stably expressing CCR4, thereby demonstrating the ligand-receptor relationship between CCL17 and CCR4. |
This test kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The CCL24 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous CCL24. The assay recognizes human CCL24. An antibody specific for CCL24 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The CCL24 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation.Following extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for CCL24 is added to detect the captured CCL24 protein. For signal development, Sterptravidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.
