HSPA1A polyclonal antibody

This intronless gene encodes a 70kDa heat shock protein, which is a member of the 70 family of heat shock proteins. Together with other heat shock proteins, this protein stabilizes existing proteins, prevents aggregation, and mediates the folding of newly translated proteins in the cytoplasm and organelles. It also participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway by interacting with AU-rich RNA binding protein 1. The gene is located in region III of the major histocompatibility complex, and is in a cluster with two closely related genes that encode similar proteins.
