GCET2, also named HGAL, is a new gene that has been shown to be a useful marker for germinal center (GC) B cells and GCB cell-derived malignancies, including follicular lymphoma and germinal center B cell-like diffuse Large B-cell lymphomas (GCB-DLBCLs) are a useful prognostic indicator of DLBCLs. GCET2 may be an adaptor protein in GC B cells, which transmits signals from the GC B cell membrane to the cytoplasm by binding to GRB2.
