CCP-Ab ELISA is used to quantitatively determine IgG antibodies against cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) in human serum or plasma. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is most commonly diagnosed through the diagnosis of rheumatoid factor (RF). Rheumatoid factor is an antibody against the Fc region of IgG. It mainly manifests as IgM antibodies, but also manifests as IgA or IgG subgroups. Compared with rheumatoid factor alone, the advantage of CCP antibody is that it has higher sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.
