CBLB, also known as RNF56, plays a necessary role in preventing inappropriate activation of lipopolysaccharide and various microbial sepsis by NF-B. CBLB can be phosphorylated on tyrosine and serine residues under TCR or BCR activation and various types of cell stimulation. It also plays an important role in preventing chronic inflammation and autoimmunity. This protein has 3 different splicing isoforms.
