Enzyme immunoassay qualitatively and quantitatively determine the anticardiolipin IgG antibody in human serum. Anti-cardiolipin autoantibodies are also present in some patients with SLE and related diseases, which is a typical feature of secondary antiphospholipid syndrome. Autoantibodies associated with APS are not only directed against CL and similar phospholipids, but also against phospholipid/protein complexes.
