BRCA1 polyclonal antibody

BRCA1 plays a central role in DNA repair by promoting the cellular response to DNA repair. Appropriate cell cycle arrest is required after ionizing irradiation during the S and G2 phases of the cell cycle. BRCA1 works by mediating the activity of ubiquitin E3 ligase required for its tumor suppressive function.It is involved in transcriptional regulation of P21 in response to DNA damage. BRCA1 is required for FANCD2 to target DNA damage sites. It may act as a transcriptional regulator. BRCA1 inhibits lipid synthesis by binding to inactive phosphorylated ACACA and preventing its dephosphorylation.
